Notes: - The NS F units share the same basic specifications as a GP38AC or GP38-2 geared for passenger service. They share no major components with original F units. - 4270-4271 previously rebuilt from F7A by Morrison-Knudsen and reclassed F9PH by replacing 567 engine with 16-645E, rated at 1750 hp; at that time HEP was installed, nose doors removed, pilots modified, and upgraded to 26L brake from 24RL
